Tabular corundum

 

  Plate corundum is also called plate alumina
Tabular Alumina is a kind of sintered alumina, which is rapidly sintered at 1900ºC, slightly lower than the melting point of Al2O3 (2050ºC), and recrystallized α-Al2O3 with fully sintered grains, showing two-dimensional flat plates and more intergranular and intragranular

Plate corundum is a pure, sintered corundum without adding any additives such as MgO, B2O3 and so on. It has a coarse and well-developed α-Al2O3 crystal structure, and the content of Al2O3 is more than 99%. Lamellar crystal structure, small pores and more closed pores and porosity and electric fused corundum roughly equivalent, high purity, good volume stability, minimal reburning shrinkage, used to produce resistant materials or castables after high temperature treatment
It has good thermal shock stability and bending strength, but the price is higher than other alumina
